Forget yer BAFTAs! Forget even, yer Oscars!
Nothing so trivial could compare to the glamour and glitz of the Scottish Aero Club's Annual Dinner and award ceremony which was held at the Aviator Restuarant on the evening of Saturday, 7th March 2009.
The assembled audience of lovies and darlings enjoyed a first class dinner, once again provided by the excellent Aviator on the airport.
Fully refuelled and ticking over nicely, the audience was then treated to the annual awards and graceful acceptance speeches by the honoured few (some of whom actually turned up).
Dai Heather-Hayes' appreciation and tearful gratitude for his award of the Cameron Quaich knew no bounds, and the silverware was passed around to the great approval of the gathered W-list celebs, filled to the brim with Macallans' finest 10-year old malt. The pundits reckon Dai is therefore a shoe-in for the same award next year.
