Full membership will entitle a person to the complete range of services, facilities and concessions available at the SAC. These include:
- The privilege of operating or hiring an aircraft from Perth.
- Hangarage for members’ aircraft in the Club’s hangar (subject to an additional fee).
- Concessionary landing fees and free out-of-hours facility (on production of valid insurance to the Airport operator).
- Access to and use of the Club’s premises (including the right to invite guests).
- Use of the Club’s internet and briefing facilities.
- Access to the ‘Members’ Only’ section of the Club website.
- Attendance at Club functions (including talks, fly-ins and fly-outs).
- Receipt of the Club’s newsletters and magazine.

Product - MBR-ASSOC - SAC Annual Membership - Associate Member -Price/Unit : £75.00
SAC MEMBERSHIP - AFFILIATE £25.00
Affiliate Membership is aimed at members of remotely-based clubs who visit Perth Airport and enjoy the Club’s facilities on an occasional basis. It is designed to encourage use of the Airport by the wider flying community.
Affiliate pilot members must be full members of another UK aero club, which is specifically recognised by the SAC. They will be entitled to enjoy the facilities at the SAC when they visit (as do any visiting pilots at present) but, in addition, they will join our mailing list, receive our Club magazine and benefit from Club discounts such as with Skylodge, Pooley’s, Hayward Insurance and a growing list of others. They will have access to the ‘Members’ Only’ section of our website and, importantly, they will qualify for a ten per cent reduction in landing fees and a free out-of-hours concession (on provision of a valid insurance certificate to the Airfield Operator and subject to landing fees). It must be stressed that Affiliate Pilot membership is not a cut-price means of obtaining full membership of the SAC. Therefore, the General Committee will reserve the right to veto any application if it considers that any applicant is attempting to abuse this concession.
Product - MBR-AFFIL - SAC Annual Membership - Affiliate Member -Price/Unit : £25.00
SAC MEMBERSHIP - JUNIOR £25.00
Junior membership is aimed at encouraging the next generation of SAC members and pilots. Junior members will enjoy the same services, facilities and concessions as Associate members, except that they will not be allowed ‘airside’ or in the hangar, unless accompanied by an adult SAC member. They will be able to attend Club functions, feel a sense of belonging with the aviation community, receive mentoring and have the opportunity to fly with Club members and perhaps be trained as Skywatch observers (these latter two priviledges subject to the approval of a parent or guardian).
This category of membership will be open to 14-18 year-olds. However, young persons who are pilots, or who are beginning flying training, will be required to be full members.

BOOK - WINGS OVER SCOTLAND
From its 1927 start as the Scottish Flying Club in Renfrew to its present home at Perth Airport, it has been closely involved with much of Scotland's aviation heritage.
Our members have included Lord Weir (Chairman of the Cierva Autogyro Company); many pilots from 602 City of Glasgow Squadron R Aux AF (including the Marquis of Clydesdale and Hamilton, who was the first man to fly over Mount Everest, and George Pinkerton, the pilot who shot down the first enemy aircraft over Britain in WW2); record breaking pilot James Mollison; Winnie Drinkwater (the Scottish Amy Johnson); Blairgowrie man J.Y.Watson whose brother Preston was rumoured to have flown in 1903 before the Wright Brothers; John Moffat (the pilot who dropped the torpedo that crippled the Bismarck in WW2); Sir Neil Cameron (the then Chief of the Defence Staff, who was President of the Club) and many other great characters of the Scottish aviation scene.
With full colour illustrations by artist Dugald Cameron and over 90 black and white illustrations, this book is a must for any flying enthusiast and for any reader with an interest in light aviation in Scotland. Published August 2002. 128 pages, A5, paperback.
