Events at The Scottish Aero Club

The Club will host its first Pizza and Prizes event on Saturday, the 20th of June, at the Clubhouse.

More details will follow shortly; however, the event will start mid-afternoon, so anyone wishing to attend but is unavailable in the evening can come along. 

Prizes to be won include:

The Alan Houghton Shield for the most memorable photograph taken during the period from May 2025 to May 2026.

The Alfie Smith Trophy for the most airfields visited. 

The Cross Country Tankard for the most memorable cross-country flight.  

The Morris Leslie Plate for the greatest distance flown.

In addition to these trophies, awards for the best fixed-wing, flex-wing and gyrocopter students will be given on the day, along with other awards which will be decided upon at the discretion of the Committee.

To be considered for any of the above, members of the Scottish Aero Club should send their entries for 

1. Most memorable photograph (2 maximum)
2. Most airfields landed at in 2025
3. Your flying adventure in 2025, and
4. Your longest flight in 2025
